Common Criteria


(CC) A set of common information technology (IT) security best practices developed by seven European and North American countries to harmonize various IT security evaluation standards in the United States, Europe, and Canada. ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) adopted version 2.1 of the CC as an international standard (#15408) in June 1999.
