SAS 70
(Statement on Auditing Standards #70) An auditing standard issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that provides guidance to external auditors in the United States on the preparation of reports on the processing of transactions by service organizations. SAS 70 was effective for service auditors’ reports dated after March 31, 1993.
