Safe Harbor Act


(SHA) of 2000 A U.S. law enacted to conform to the European Union Data Protection Directive (EUDPD) of 1998. SHA governs data transferred to the United States from the European Union. As with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) Financial Services Modernization Act, compliance was required by July 1, 2001.
