Trusted third party



A security authority, or its agent, trusted by other entities with respect to security related activities (see ISO/IEC 10181-1). NOTE – In the context of this multipart International Standard, a trusted third party is trusted by the originator, the recipient, and/or the delivery authority for the purposes of non-repudiation, and by another party such as an adjudicator.
