assurance authority
A person or organisation delegated the authority for decisions (i.e. selection, specification, acceptance, enforcement) related to a deliverable’s assurance that ultimately leads to the establishment of confidence in the deliverable. Note: In specific schemes or organisations, the term for assurance authority may be different such as evaluation authority.
