information systems security guidelines
Minimum criteria, rules, and procedures established by senior management that may or may not need to be implemented to help ensure the achievement of the information systems security policy. In some firms, management may direct staff to implement only those guidelines which they judge to be pertinent or useful. In other firms, guidelines may be treated as the equivalent of standards.
